Today was “B” day otherwise known as Bubble Day. So Emmy was able to bring in bubbles to play with at recess. And Emmy being Emmy she asked if she could bring in an extra bottle that way if anyone didn’t have any bubbles they could use the extra bottle. When she thinks about it she really is a very nice person, well to anyone except her brother….. and anyone who is picking on him.
We made it to Judo tonight, I even fragged Matt along though he didn’t dress. It was a very small class tonight, but it did pass quickly. That drive even once a week can be a tad much, to bad there is no place close to where we are that is so relaxed and at such a great price.
We are now at only 5 weeks of school left, so now we come into crunch time to make sure everything is turned in and everything is going well. This time of year is so hard, Matt is ready to be out of school and the teachers end up throwing all that last minute stuff at the kids so this is probably one of the most stressful times of the school year. Add into the mix Emmy and her school now too, she’s having a hard time with the 6-12 addition and subtraction fact timed tests. Oh she can do the math, just not fast enough so we are really stepping up the work with the flash cards. Spelling words are getting more difficult too, and its showing in her tests. But her reading is doing very well, as long as we keep practicing …. it never ends does it.
Ok this has morphed from a one a day thing that I’ve tried to do to better myself into a short blurb about what is happening here today in my life, and possibly a rant or rave against something that has ticked me off. My New Year’s Resolution is to do one thing each day to better myself in some way. Could be something big, or it could be something small, but it is one thing that will hopefully by the end of 2012 that will make me a better person. The brain child behind this (he’s the one who thought of it and I’m just following in his footsteps) also has his own blog to express his own One a Day
