His Secret Daughter
In the space of a minute, Nick Brennan learns he has a nine-year-old daughter—and that she desperately needs his help. All this time, his high school sweetheart, single mother Josie Peretti, thought he knew about their child. And that he just didn’t care. About the ill little girl—or Josie, the woman he’s never forgotten. But Nick made a long-ago promise never to forsake his family the way his father did. A promise he vows to make good on now…
if only Josie will bless him with a second chance.
My Thoughts:
This story just hurts your heart. Nick and Josie both have bagage hanging around from their pasts. But right now they have a sick daughter. A daughter that Nick just found out that he had. So while Josie and Nick are struggling to find a way to work together to co-exist for Hannahs sake. they both love their daughter, but over coming past trust issues among others is hard to do. You just can not help but feel sorry for them. Nick and Josie are so realistic, you see them try their best. You see them succeed and you see them make mistakes. The path is not easy, but for the sake of their daughter they do their best. And slowly they both realize that they do love each other. This is a very sweet story, your heart hurts for the pain they each suffer but you keep rooting them on to find happiness.
