Summary:
A prequel to the New York Times bestselling Maze Runner series!
Before WICKED was formed, before the Glade was built, before Thomas entered the Maze, sun flares hit the earth and mankind fell to disease.
The Kill Order is the story of that fall.
A prequel to the Maze Runner trilogy, The Kill Order has been in the works since the completion of The Maze Runner. The story of civilization’s fall was kept under wraps and is the explication of the events that began this bestselling series.

My Thoughts:
Last summer we listend to the Maze Runner in the car, my son read the book as part of his sophomore English class. We liked it a lot, and then followed up by listening to The Scorch Trails which we also liked. That is why I was happy to get my hands on Kill Order, which is a prequel book to Maze Runner. I liked this book, but I still have many questions after finishing the book. I would love for there to be another prequel to answer my lingering questions. Though it is intriguing to learn how the virus in Maze Runner came about. The characters are interesting, though I would have liked a bit more details on how Mark was really effected by the virus or one of the other characters giving a first hand report instead of just getting 2nd or 3rd hand information. There is plenty of adventure and some very intense action scenes. I think this would be a book for a younger teen early high school student.
Over all rating: 3/ 5 stars
